The Fernsy app
Fernsy does not collect, store or transmit any personal data to us or to third parties. The app contains no analytics, tracking or advertising services.
The credentials you enter (server address, username, password) are stored only locally in your Mac’s keychain. Fernsy connects only to your IPTV provider’s server to load channel lists, program data and streams. In doing so, your provider receives technically necessary data such as your IP address; your provider is responsible for this processing, and its privacy policy applies.
Favorites, playback positions, settings and cached catalog and program data are stored only locally on your Mac and are removed when you delete the app.
When you download from the Mac App Store and for crash reports you have allowed in macOS, Apple processes data under Apple’s privacy policy; we only receive anonymized, aggregated information.
This website
This website is hosted on GitHub Pages (GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA). When you visit it, GitHub processes technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time and the page requested in order to deliver and secure the website. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in providing the website securely and reliably (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Transfers to the USA are based on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, under which GitHub is certified. More information: GitHub’s privacy statement.
We use no cookies, no analytics tools and no external fonts or scripts.
Contact by email
If you contact us by email, we process your information to answer your request (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR) and delete it once it is no longer needed for that purpose and no statutory retention obligations apply.

Please contact us at the address above. You may also lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, for example the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia.
