It helps if you include your macOS version, the Fernsy version (menu “Fernsy” → “About Fernsy”) and a short description of what you did. Please never send us your password.
Frequently asked questions
Does Fernsy include channels or a subscription?
No. Fernsy is a player. Channels, movies and series come from your IPTV provider; you need an account there with Xtream Codes credentials. We do not sell subscriptions or recommend providers.
Which credentials do I need?
The server address (for example http://server.example:8080), username and password of your Xtream Codes account. Your provider gives you these. M3U playlists are not supported at the moment.
Signing in fails.
Check the server address including the port, your username and password. Many providers only allow a limited number of simultaneous connections – if your account is in use on another device, playback may stop.
Shows are missing from the program guide.
Program data comes from your provider. If a channel has no program information there, Fernsy shows “No program information”. Fernsy caches the data and reloads it automatically when it is out of date.
A channel stutters or drops out.
Fernsy reconnects automatically and seamlessly when the network drops out. If the problem persists, it is often the connection to your provider. “Technical info” (key I in the player) shows the buffer, bit rate and reconnects.
Which keyboard shortcuts are there?
↑ ↓ switch channel · Space pause · ← → jump 10 seconds · F full screen · M mute · I technical info
How do I delete my data?
Signing out in the settings removes your credentials. Deleting the app also removes favorites, playback positions and cached data. We do not hold any of your data.
